“The Pearl of the Dunes” Garden (لؤلؤة) is a place symbolizing rare beauty and grace like precious pearls among the sands.

In the front area the circular flowerbed meets us. In the centre of this composition there is a sculpture resembling a drop of oil illuminated by a circular light below.

Walking along the promenade to the back of the property we pass by wave-like raised groups of ornamental herbaceous plants. The flowing forms create visual perspective that expanding the space.

The backyard terrace has a formal form centered on an ornamental plant with an openwork crown.

You can see a disc-shaped painting embodying a pearl with its iridescent texture and shape near the fence.

Green hedges create a multi-layered atmosphere along the terrace. The rhythmic canopy and tall groups of trees create shade in the passageway lending, giving the space a sense of privacy and intimacy.

In the heart of the desert where dunes resemble the waves of a frozen ocean, the Pearl of the Dunes blooms—a garden born from the harmony of the elements. Waves gently curving like sea waves reflecting the eternal movement and breath of nature are awaken among the golden sands

The name derives from the history of the city’s origins and its development, growth, and redevelopment. Abu Dhabi is like a pearl among the sands and dunes. A place where new and beautiful things were born.

The city’s history is captivating in its multifaceted nature. The key word - is development.

This developmental path is symbolized not only by images of traditional crafts (fishing, pearl diving, livestock farming, and handicrafts), but also by economics and history.

These points form the foundation of the garden’s philosophy. Walking through it you stroll past ocean waves.

Abu Dhabi’s history began in the late 18th century as a fishing village nicknamed “Father of the Gazelle” after the legend of a gazelle leading hunters to a source of fresh water. Until the mid-20th century it was a small pearl-diving settlement.

The discovery of oil in 1958 was a turning point allowing for the massive revenues to be channeled into rapid development of the city and its infrastructure. In 1971 Abu Dhabi played a key role in the creation of the United Arab Emirates becoming its capital and developing into one of the most developed and wealthiest cities in the world.

“Pearls of Philosophy” is a metaphor for the highest wisdom, secret knowledge, spiritual awareness, and inner purity that, like a pearl, are hidden from most people, but can be attained through persistent spiritual search, suffering, and effort.
